About Vivaah Sanskaar
Pandit ji conducts the complete Hindu wedding according to your family’s tradition and region. This includes Ganesh Puja, Kanyadaan, Panigrahan, Havan, Saptapadi (seven steps around the sacred fire) and Sindoor-daan, with clear explanation in Hindi or English so guests can follow along.
Vivah is one of the sixteen sanskaras. The couple takes vows before Agni in the presence of family, promising support in dharma, prosperity and love. Customs differ across North, South, East and West India, so please tell me your tradition beforehand and I will plan the ceremony accordingly.

Pooja vidhi, step by step
Ganesh Puja and Punyahavachan
Ganesh is worshipped and the venue and family are purified with sacred water.
Aagman and Jaimala
The groom’s party is welcomed and the couple exchange garlands.
Kanyadaan and Panigrahan
The bride’s parents give her hand in marriage and the groom accepts it with mantras.
Havan and Laja Homa
Offerings are made into the sacred fire, including puffed rice offered by the bride.
Saptapadi
The couple takes seven steps together, each with a vow, with Agni as witness.
Sindoor-daan and Ashirwad
Sindoor is applied and the couple receives the blessings of elders.

Best time and muhurat
Wedding dates are chosen from the panchang after matching the couple’s kundlis. Popular periods include Vaishakha, Jyeshtha, Margashirsha, Magha and Phalguna, and Devuthani Ekadashi opens the season after Chaturmas. Please book your pandit as soon as the date is fixed.

Please tell me your community, region and preferred language when you book. I will tell you honestly whether I can conduct the ceremony in your tradition.
Do you also do engagement and tilak?
Yes. Roka, sagai, tilak and ring ceremony pujas can all be booked.
